Although my fitness routine has been carrying on despite the crazy weather we’ve had in Western New York…
…my diet has been hobbling along with a broken leg for quite some time.
Although I haven’t found the secret to taking back the reins, I did take some time to notice how I was feeling today. I am definitely just eating to mask other emotions. I have to go back to work soon. I have a lot I wanted to accomplish during my winter break that remains undone. I don’t want to think about going back to the routine that was once so soothing to me. Does that happen to you when you’re on vacation?
Well, anyway, my observations yielded some good information and I think I’m going to try eating only when hungry for my last day away from the office. I suspect it won’t be easy for me at first but it doesn’t take much to improve on my current diet trends…

You can do it, Holly!
Happy New Year!
Yeah the eating and eating and eating of the Christmas break is really quite easy and comfortable to fall into isn’t it! You can shake it!
It is tough to get control over eating habits, but I think you have made the first and most important step: you recognized that you are eating to mask other emotions. Now that you are aware of that, it will be in the back of your mind every time you go to eat when you aren’t actually hungry. I definitely get a little off track with the holidays, too. You are not alone!
